TEACH Diagnostic Test Setup Guide
This video will guide you through the process of setting up, taking, and submitting a diagnostic test. You can also read the instructions below.

You can submit your results to TEACH by forwarding the results you receive from the Diagnostic Testing site to teach@christian.education. - Paper-based Diagnostics
If you would prefer for students to complete the tests on paper, then you are welcome to purchase the paper version of the tests from our online shop.
Instructions
Create Account
- To start go to: acediagnostictest.com and click ‘Take the aceconnect Diagnostic Test’
- If you have already registered, you can login with your existing details. Otherwise, to create an account, click ‘Register’
- Fill in all the required fields with your details. These are highlighted with a red asterisk. Make sure to keep a note of your username and password
- Once all fields are filled click 'Add Account Information'.
Student Setup
- On the welcome page select the 'Students and Reports' tab
- Click 'Add New Student'
- Enter the student's name then select the level the student should start on:
- Students under 5 or those who cannot yet read do not do the online diagnostic tests. Please contact TEACH for information on testing for them.
- Students aged between 6-7 who can already read should begin on Level 1
- Students who are currently in Year 1 should test on Level 1 only.
- Students currently in Year 2 should test on Levels 1 and 2.
- Students currently in Year 3 should test on Levels 1 to 3.
- Students currently in Year 4 should test on Levels 1 to 4.
- Students currently in Year 5 should test on Level 2 to 5.
- Students currently in Year 6 should test on Levels 3 to 6.
- Students currently in Year 7 should test on Levels 3 to 7.
- Students currently in Year 8 should test on Levels 3 to 8.
- Students in Year 9 or higher should test on Levels 4 to 8.
- Enter your email address in order to have the results emailed to you.
- Finally click 'Add Student'
Taking the Diagnostic Test
- When the student is ready to take the test click on the 'Take Diagnostic Test' tab
- Click on the student and then click 'Select Student'
- You will now be presented with a drop-down for each of the different subjects: Maths, English, Word Building, & Reading
(You will need to complete the test for all the subjects) - Once you have selected the level, click ‘Continue’ and then ‘Begin Test’
- If the student wishes to take a break at any point, click 'Exit' and 'Save', and all their progress to that point will be saved
Please note: If you are completing the diagnostic tests online, there will be some American currency questions. Please encourage the student to complete what they can and skip what they can't. We will take this into account and not mark the student down on the diagnostic prescription.
Submitting the Results
- To pause or finish the test, click ‘Exit Diagnostic Test’. You will then have the option to continue the test later, or finish the test and receive the results.
- Upon finishing the test, the student will be logged out. You should receive an email for each subject, detailing the passed and failed PACEs for each student.
- Forward all four results emails to teach@christian.education.
- Once the form has been submitted, you will receive diagnostic prescription from TEACH within two working days, advising you of each student’s starting PACEs, and if they have any gaps.
